Splashing around at a pool or aquatic center is a great way to have fun outdoors without sweating it out in Missouri's scorching summer weather. You've got plenty of options around the St. Louis area, including many that have kept local kids coming back for decades. Pack your beach towel and some sunscreen and head out to one of these five pools and aquatic centers near our St. Louis homes for sale

Beat the Heat at These St. Louis-Area Aquatic Centers

The Lodge Des Peres Aquatic Center - Des Peres, MO 

Address: 1050 Des Peres Road, Des Peres, MO 63131 

The Lodge Des Peres Aquatic Center near our Des Peres homes for sale has an indoor pool as well as several outdoor pools and water attractions. Visit to spend an afternoon enjoying: 

  • Several tall, twisting waterslides 
  • A lazy river with loaner float rings
  • A wading pool and water play area for young kids 

The outdoor portion of this complex is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closes one hour earlier (6 p.m.) on Sundays. Holiday hours and weather-related closures may vary, so check the city's schedule before you go. Tickets cost $10 for all city residents aged 3 and older, $10 for non-resident military members with ID, and $15 for all other non-residents. Kids aged 2 and under get in for free with an adult.  

The Timbers of Eureka - Eureka, MO 

Address: 1 Coffey Park Lane, Eureka, MO 63025 

The Timbers of Eureka outdoor pool is much more than just another place to swim. On top of their massive open swim pool, this facility near our Eureka homes for sale also has: 

  • A lap pool with an area where you can practice dives 
  • A lazy river you can float down while relaxing in the sun 
  • A waterslide that's sure to give you an adrenaline rush 
  • A playground with water features for young kids 

Until August 16, they'll be open all week long: noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 6:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. Day passes for residents cost $9 for adults and $7 for kids and seniors, with non-residents paying slightly more. Resident families can also get a season-long pool pass for up to five people for just $182.  

Blanchette Aquatic Facility - St. Charles, MO

The Blanchette Aquatic Facility offers summer fun for the whole family near our St. Charles homes for sale. The popular complex is full of innovative features like: 

  • A full-sized lap pool with deeper areas for diving 
  • A colorful collection of twisting waterslides over an open swim pool  
  • A water playground with small slides and gentle sprayers in a shallow kiddie pool 
  • A dump bucket that rains water down on whoever is standing below 
  • A concession stand where you can grab refreshments

This spot is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from May 23 through August 16. Standard non-resident tickets are $16.50 for adults, $14.50 for kids and seniors, and $6.75 for kids under 3. Residents pay significantly less, and tickets are discounted slightly for everyone after 4 p.m. Non-residents must purchase tickets in advance, and city residents need a City Passport Card or St. Peters Privilege Card at admission. The facility also offers tickets for just $7.50 per person after 5 p.m. on Sundays, but that Sunday Family Fun Night rate is for city residents only. 

Alligator's Creek Aquatic Center - O'Fallon, MO

Alligator's Creek Aquatic Center is the perfect place to cool off for an afternoon near our O'Fallon homes for sale. There are enough fun play structures and amenities here to rival most smaller waterparks, including: 

  • Three large waterslides and a floating bridge to climb on
  • An accessible splash pad for kids of all ages and abilities 
  • A water playground for older kids with interactive wheels and sprayers 
  • A gentle whirlpool 
  • A bathhouse for changing and washing off the chlorine after your visit 
  • Optional swim lessons led by qualified instructors  

During most of the summer, you can visit from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday. After August 15, though, the facility will only be open on weekends before closing after Labor Day. Tickets for residents cost $10 for adults, $9 for kids and seniors, and $3 for toddlers. Non-residents pay $12 for adults, $11 for kids and seniors, and $3 for toddlers.

Splash Station Aquatic Center - Wentzville, MO

The Splash Station Aquatic Center near our Wentzville homes for sale is a dream come true for younger kids who might be intimidated by deep pools and tall waterslides. It's full of fun family-friendly attractions like:

Splash Station is open daily through August 23, then follows a limited late-season schedule before closing for the season on September 8. Day-use tickets for residents cost $11 for adults, $10 for kids and seniors, and $3 for kids under 2. Non-residents pay slightly more. You can also purchase a family pass for $295 to get unlimited full-season access for yourself, your partner, and up to three kids.
